Le Petite Mathews

So the word is officially out! We are expecting a BABY! We could not be more excited. On Monday we will hopefully find out if the baby is a girl or boy. (Or as Jay-Michael puts it - he'll find out if he's gonna be an Aunt or an Uncle!) Ha ha - I seriously love that kid! Marc and I keep going back and forth on what we think it is... most recently we think boy ... either way we're totally pumped. Between a boy or a girl we said it's like someone asking us: Would you like an all expense paid trip to Australia or Bermuda?? Uhhhh Yes, please!

I had my first "OSM" (oh sh*t moment) this week. It was the moment where -- for the very first time I realized that in a few SHORT months there will be a baby in our house! I clearly remember thinking - "WHAT HAVE WE DONE??? I'M NOT SURE WE THOUGHT THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!" People tell me that this "awareness" comes in waves. THANK GOD! I seriously don't think I could take it all at once. But the cool part ... once my OSM passed (it lasted at least a day or so) I've been more excited about that baby being here than I have ever been before. Probably not a coincidence that just two days after "my moment" I got to hold 4 day old Baby Graham -- Weird how stuff works out, huh...
Anyhoo we are starting to talk about changes to the house, things we want to accomplish, etc. before Le Petite Mathews arrives. I'm on the hunt for un-ugly maternity clothes that don't cost a fortune -- believe me, that is no small feat!

All in all life is good. We are in awe of this whole process and are amazed by each new milestone.
